The Adult Literacy League held our 10th Annual Reading between the Wines fundraising event on April 12, 2017, which featured celebrity chefs and cookbook authors, Art Smith and Norman Van Aken. Previous guest authors at this annual spring event donating their appearances have included Elizabeth Berg, Tim Dorsey, Stuart Woods, Lisa See, Steve Berry, Carl Hiaasen, Michael Connelly, Bob Morris, Pat Williams and Connie May Fowler.
There was great food from Central Florida’s best chefs and restaurants, fine wines, and an amazing silent auction at this celebration of reading! The program shared information about the League and then the authors talked about their work and answered questions from fans in the audience.
In 2018, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Adult Literacy League! We hope to bring you a very special edition of Reading between the Wines for the occasion – and a great opportunity to change lives through literacy!
