John Bennett

John practices in the areas of complex business litigation; shareholder and partnership disputes; and adversarial matters involving bankruptcy, estates, and trusts.  John moved his practice from Jacksonville, Florida in 2018 so that he and his wife, Alexandra (an Orlando native), could join their family here in Orlando.

After receiving his B.A. in Japanese from Pennsylvania State University, John received his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law where he graduated Magna cum Laude.  During law school, John was granted a Human Rights Fellowship, sending him to the Court of Bosnia & Herzegovina in Sarajevo to assist in ensuring that prosecutions involving war crime and crimes against humanity conformed to the standards set by the European Court of Human Rights.

When John is not busy advocating for his clients, he enjoys honoring his Italian upbringing in the kitchen and spending time with his family, and of course, reading voraciously.  John believes that literacy is essential to meaningful and rewarding participation in society and is thrilled to be a part of the Adult Literacy League’s mission:  empowering Central Floridians to be thriving members of our community through literacy and education.
